Veronika Eyring at COP27

Former CMIP Panel Chair (2014-2020) and IPCC Coordinating Lead Author, Veronika Eyring, urged world leaders to take action at the opening ceremony of the COP27 summit. The University of Bremen professor and researcher at the German Aerospace Centre – DLR, gave a highly acclaimed speech urging action, “The scientific evidence is clear. But we’re not on track. Any further delay in taking collective global action to adapt to climate change and mitigate its impacts will result in us missing the short and fast-closing window of opportunity to secure a liveable and sustainable future for all.”
