7 June, 2023 @ 15:00 – 16:15 UTC
Are you interested in CMIP climate forcing datasets that are used to drive models and want to hear the latest on the activities and planned output of the Forcings Task Team? We will be running two virtual information sessions on Wednesday 7th June at 05:00-06:15 and 15:00-16:15 UTC (see event page for 05:00 UTC session by following this link).
The sessions will be chaired by one of the CMIP Panel and led by the Forcings Task Team co-leads, Paul Durack (PCMDI/LLNL) and Vaishali Naik (GFDL/NOAA), and the wider members of the task team. In these informal discussion sessions, participants will hear about the feedback received in the recent Future CMIP Forcings Community Survey and how the task team is addressing issues raised here, to deliver to CMIP7, and tackle longer term scientific challenges, before opening up the session for an interactive dialogue.
This is a great opportunity to have your voice heard and input actively in the design of CMIP7, and is open to anyone with an interest in the development and use of forcing datasets. For more information on the Forcings Task Team see their webpage.
