Are you interested in the CMIP7 Earth System forcing datasets that are used to drive models and want to hear the latest on the datasets, which are being delivered to support the Assessment Fast Track? We are running two virtual sessions on Tuesday 9th September at 07:00-08:00 UTC and 16:00-17:00 UTC (see event page for 07:00 UTC session by following this link). This community drop- in session will be chaired by the Forcings Task Team co-leads, Paul Durack (PCMDI/LLNL), Vaishali Naik (NOAA/GFDL), and Zeb Nicholls (Climate Resource/IIASA) alongside the wider members of the task team including the dataset providers.

You will find out the latest delivery status of the CMIP7 forcing data identified for modelling groups to drive their CMIP7 Assessment Fast Track simulations including launch for testing of scenario forcings datasets. With many centres already using the CMIP7 DECK forcing datasets we are keen to hear feedback on the data, need for protocols and documentation, and also gather insight on requirements for scenario forcings delivery.

This is a great opportunity to ask questions! The sessions are open to anyone with an interest in the development and use of forcing datasets. The latest information on the CMIP7 Forcing datasets can be found here with links to dataset overviews and Github dataset discussions.
