The Model Benchmarking Task Team are holding a hybrid virtual launch event of the Rapid Evaluation Framework version 1 release. The event is aimed at those intending to make use of the CMIP6 and 6plus version of the REF, as well those that might be tasked with installing and running it.
Task Team and REF delivery team representatives will present an overview of the REF, the REF dashboard and how to install and use the containerised version. They will invite all users of the REF version 1 to contribute to the coproduction process and will outline how to provide feedback. This will then be used to inform refinement for the CMIP7 ready version, due to be launched at the CMIP Community workshop in March 2026.
Questions will be taken via Slido and then representatives from the task team, delivery team and the CMIP IPO will be available during the following reception to discuss it with in person participants at ESM2025.
